Steam jet ejectors offer a reliable and econo-mical means for Producing Vacuum. The preliminary advantages of the steam jet ejectors are its Low initial cost, lack of moving parts, and simplicity of operation.
Single-Stage Ejectors are used to create vacuum ranging from atmosphere to 3"Hg ABS(70mmHgABS). Higher vacuum, ranging from 3" HgABS to 3 microns" HgABS, may be achieved by multiple staging.

In the typical processing operation, liquid carries over occasionally into the vacuum system. Dry-type can not be considered vacuum pumps seriously for such an application. Liquid-ring vacuum pumps, steam jet ejectors or a combination will be acceptable.
